Our story. Their next chapter.

Support Does Not Have an Expiration Date at Eighteen.

For many people on the autism spectrum, support and services change dramatically after childhood.

We believe adulthood should not mean the end of opportunity, connection, or community.

Woodystock Blues: A Hand Up Foundation provides support and assistance to families of adults living on the spectrum through education, the arts and entertainment, while promoting greater autism awareness and stronger community connections.

WHY ADULTHOOD MATTERS

The Need Is Growing Faster

Than the Services.

Autism support has historically focused heavily on childhood. But the children receiving those services grow up — and they still need opportunities, resources, understanding, and community.

The need for meaningful support continues into adulthood, while many families face fewer options after school-based services end.

How we help

Four Ways We Give a Hand Up

Not a handout a hand up.

Our programs are designed around practical opportunities and support for adults living on the spectrum and the families who care for them.

01

Arts & Education Scholarships

We provide grants that can help cover classes, tuition, instruments, certifications, studio time, and other educational or creative opportunities.

02

Live Music Access

We help adults on the spectrum and their caregivers experience live music through tickets, transportation, and supportive accommodations.

03

Family & Caregiver Support

We help create opportunities for families and caregivers to connect through peer groups, counseling resources, social gatherings, and shared experiences.

04

Public Autism Education

We provide workshops and accessible resources that help employers, venues, organizations, and community members better understand adult autism and create more supportive environments.

A hand up. A way forward.

Building Opportunity

Beyond Childhood

Music That

Gives Back.

Since 2013, the Woodystock Blues Festival has helped fund the work of Woodystock Blues: A Hand Up Foundation.

The festival brings musicians, families, businesses, vendors, sponsors, and the community together for live music while helping generate support for the foundation’s programs.

Every ticket and every act of support helps carry the mission forward.

Community

Stronger Together.

Our work is made possible through people who believe that everyone deserves a place in their community.

Families. Caregivers. Musicians. Businesses. Volunteers. Sponsors. Community organizations.

Together, they help create opportunities for adults on the spectrum and build greater understanding of autism throughout the community.

Small acts. Meaningful possibilities.
